Executive Search and Strategic Consulting

Executive Search

We follow a detailed and thorough process when executing an executive search project.  The steps are outlined below:
Needs Analysis and Position Specification
At the onset of the project we do a thorough analysis of our client’s needs, including the all-important cultural fit requirement.  Using this information we create the position specification for the ideal candidate.  In this stage, we also identify the search strategy and communication frequency.
Recruitment and Interviewing
After developing the position specification, we create a target list of prospective companies, candidates and sources to form the basis of our research.  We also review previous searches to identify additional prospective candidates and search our internal database for possible prospects and sources.  We talk to many prospects and sources to find the best qualified candidates, not just the obvious ones.  Only the best candidates will pass our interview process and be presented to our clients for consideration.
Candidate Presentation
On each of final candidates presented for final interviews, we submit a written confidential biography and interview summary to our client.  More than just a repeat of their dates and titles on their resume, this report covers: their potential fit with the company’s culture, how they accomplished their past results, what motivates them, and why we believe they should be considered for the role.
Offer & Acceptance
We assist with structuring and negotiating the terms of employment for the final candidate.  We also perform reference checks with current or past supervisors, colleagues and subordinates.
Follow-up
In order to ensure the long-term success of the search, we meet with our client and the new executive for the 12 months following the hire to offer advice, coaching, insight and counsel.  This helps to helps to create a smooth transition for the executive and our client.
